The Japanese Sword Museum

Run by the Society for the Preservation of Japanese Art Swords, this Ryogoku museum displays finely forged Japanese swords, fittings and armour, with rotating exhibitions. A short walk from the sumo district.
Why children love it: Real katana and samurai blades, some designated National Treasures, plus views over a traditional garden.
