Japan is one of the best places in the world to travel with children — and one of the most overwhelming to plan from Australia. Small Steps Japan exists to make it simpler: clear, specific, honest advice that helps you make confident decisions without drowning in options.

Built on real experience — and real research

Our advice is built on more than 20 years of Japan travel experience, combined with extensive, current research across both English- and Japanese-language sources. That second part matters: we consult official Japanese operators, transport and venue information and other primary sources directly, rather than recycling English travel blogs. When the English internet is out of date, the Japanese source usually isn’t.
