Shibuya Sky (Shibuya Scramble Square)

渋谷スカイ

Shibuya · near Shibuya Station (directly connected)

An open-air rooftop observation deck at 229-230m atop Shibuya Scramble Square, with 360-degree views over the Shibuya Scramble Crossing and out to Mt Fuji at sunset. The rooftop 'Sky Stage' has a net-lined edge walkway and lounging areas; timed-entry ticketing.

Why children love it: Standing in the open air high above the city, looking straight down over the famous crossing, and lying on the rooftop cushions at dusk.

Honest drawbacks: Rooftop closes in rain/high wind; timed slots sell out on weekends/sunset; the exposed edge can feel intense for nervous kids; loose items restricted on the rooftop.
