Setagaya Park (mini-SL & traffic-safety park)

世田谷公園

Ikejiri · near Ikejiri-ohashi Station (Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line) (13 min walk)

A local Setagaya favourite combining a ride-on miniature railway, a traffic-safety park with pedal karts, a free-play adventure 'play-park', and a summer outdoor pool. Great low-cost morning for vehicle-mad toddlers.

Why children love it: Ride the real-steam-style mini-SL 'Chibikuro-go' around the park, pedal go-karts through a mini road system with working signals to learn road rules, and climb over a retired D51 steam locomotive.
