The iconic 333m red-and-white lattice tower (1958). The Main Deck sits at 150m and the Top Deck at 250m (guided tour ticket). There's a small shrine, cafe, shops and glass floor windows, and you can even climb the open-air staircase to the Main Deck.
Why children love it: Climbing the outdoor stairs, glass floor panels to peer through, and the tower's bright colour and mascots make it playful.
Honest drawbacks: Older than Skytree with lower decks; Top Deck needs a separate pricier timed ticket; can be busy.
