One of the largest aquariums in the world, on the Tempozan waterfront in Osaka Bay. A single spiral route takes you down and around an enormous central 'Pacific Ocean' tank — home to whale sharks and manta rays — with floors themed to habitats around the Pacific Rim. It's fully accessible, stroller-friendly and a reliable all-weather day out, right next to the Tempozan Ferris wheel and the Legoland Discovery Center.
Why children love it: Coming face to face with a whale shark — the biggest fish in the world — gliding through the giant central tank.
